Ahlia School launches the Digital Science Lab in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
On Tuesday morning, October 10, 2023, an inauguration ceremony of the Digital Science Lab was held at the school in collaboration with Amazon (AWS) in a distinguished educational event in accordance with Ahlia schools’ strategic vision.
His Excellency Professor Abdullah Al-Hawaj, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ahlia School, and a number of Amazon representatives attended the ceremony to support this pioneering educational project. The ceremony featured an elaborate screening of a short film produced by the Ahlia school’s media department, highlighting how to activate the digital science laboratory, and emphasizing its importance in promoting active learning and developing students' skills in the fields of scientific research and technology.
The speech of His Excellency Professor Abdullah Al-Hawaj, Chairman of the School’s Board of Directors, was full of inspiration and encouragement as he emphasized the significance of innovation and technological development in the field of learning.
Dr. Mohammad Ali Habib, the school's General Director, praised the effective partnership with Amazon and its vital role in empowering and supporting the school to achieve its future strategic vision in his speech. He also expressed his pride in this outstanding achievement, which will help students develop their abilities and provide an advanced, inspiring, and conducive learning environment. In this context and based on the field visit to the Digital Science Laboratory, attendees applauded the effective engagement of students in the use of the digital lab, as well as how it serves as a source of inspiration and motivation for them, contributing to the development of an innovative and eminent generation in the field of science and technology.
Students emphasized the importance of this strategic step and its effectiveness in improving active learning and enabling them to conduct research and investigation practices, build knowledge, and create new opportunities in the scientific field.
Finally, Professor Abdullah Al-Hawaj and Dr. Mohammad Ali Habib expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Amazon for its tremendous assistance and cooperation in completing this critical educational project.
